With more than 20 years of experience, I can provide my clients with a safe and supportive environment to overcome barriers, develop skills, and reach goals to start living their best life.
We will help you to clarify your path to reach your life's purpose.
I began working in the mental health field in 1997 and received my doctorate in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University in 2009. I received my license in Clinical Psychology in July 2012. I have worked in a variety of settings, including as a school counselor, in outpatient clinics as a therapist as well as supervisor of doctoral students, and in case management at an inpatient psychiatric hospital.
I have worked as an adjunct professor with second-year clinical psychology postgraduate students, and in administrative positions, including as a Clinical Director of a new residential treatment facility overseeing its growth and development which is now a thriving organization consisting of 4 facilities in Southern California. With my education, training, and over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I can provide my clients with a safe and supportive environment to overcome barriers, develop skills, and reach goals to start living their best life.
As a life coach, I strive to help clients achieve an overall state of wellbeing. The coaching process includes cognitive, emotional, physical, and spiritual realms. I meet with the clients to identify goals that will help them experience greater life satisfaction.
We determine the hurdles that have prevented them from reaching their objectives in the past. I recommend and teach skills, an action plan, and specific behavioral steps to overcome obstacles and reach the intended goals.
I started Best Life Coaching, LLC in 2021 to focus on an action-oriented population. After nine years as a licensed psychologist in private practice, I realized that often the restrictions set by insurance companies put clients a step back. When a client uses their insurance, there are parameters set by the insurance companies that limit the tools that therapists can use. In coaching which is fee-for-service, the restrictions don't apply.
With a goal-oriented clientele, I have found that I can affect a lot of change with clients who are motivated to transition and grow. Often it is just a matter of understanding what has held them back and a bit of clarity for the path forward. I work with clients to develop this plan as a team, plan for obstacles, do regular check-ins, make adjustments to goals as needed and have a clear end goal in mind. With our work together, my clients can understand how to set and achieve goals on their own and begin to create the life that they have wanted.
